Bruce McDowell
Manager & Chairman, Tax Link Ltd
Bruce founded Tax Link Christchurch in 1991 after running an H&R Block franchise. He helped form the national Tax Link network and has served as Chairman for over 30 years. A qualified Taxation Accountant and ATAINZ member since 1982, he has deep experience across every area of tax and accounting the firm handles.
He's the person who set the tone for how Tax Link works: approachable, thorough, no jargon. That hasn't changed.
Outside of work: tennis, music, and family.
Kitty Yuen
Senior Accountant
Kitty has been with Tax Link for over 15 years and brings more qualifications than most, including a Law degree, a Bachelor of Business Analysis with Honours, and an MBA, all from the University of Canterbury. She has over 20 years of accounting experience and is fluent in English and Cantonese.
She's efficient, proactive, and the kind of person who thinks about what you'll need next before you've asked.
Outside of work: reading, swimming, and badminton.
Chris McDonald
Chartered Accountant
Chris is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years in practice and prior experience working for Inland Revenue. He knows the system from both sides. He's quick, methodical, and can work through a complicated return without breaking stride.
Outside of work: fly fishing, masters hockey, and holidays with the family.
Jason McFadden
Senior Accountant
Jason holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Law degree from the University of Canterbury, and has been with Tax Link for over 20 years. His experience covers everything from small business startups to tax opinions and compliance across all return types. He's also a former accounting lecturer. If you want something explained clearly, he's your person.
Self-described: loves numbers, loves his job.
Joe McDowell
Senior Accountant
Joe joined the team in 2014 after two years living and working in the UK. He prepares tax returns and is the go-to person for accounting software. If you need help getting set up in MYOB or Xero, he'll sort you out. Clients like him because he's easy to deal with and doesn't overcomplicate things.
Outside of work: softball, fishing, and his young family.
Nadia McDowell
Senior Accountant
Nadia joined Tax Link in 2014, specialising in overseas income, trusts, and estates. She's a qualified Barrister and Solicitor with a Law degree from the University of Canterbury, and previously worked in commodities law at Citibank in London and at Community Law Canterbury. She brings a legal mind to tax work, which matters when things get complicated.
Outside of work: baking, reading, and photographing her British Longhair cat Winston.
